Disney World day 4 – Animal Kingdom
We woke up on last day of our vacation ready for another great day, but kind of sad that it was almost over. The three prior days had been so much fun, and gone by so fast! We were on the first bus again, and actually got a place first in line at the turnstiles. That made four times in four days! Flight of Passage was our first goal, along with everybody else. We speedwalked to the rope, and I actually got there before anybody else! I guess jogging every morning pays off, right? The cast members led us to the ride and through much of the queue, so I…

Disney World day 3 – Hollywood Studios
Midnight is so late to stay at a Park! We felt like we couldn’t possibly get up at 5:45 after Mickey’s Halloween Party the night before. But we did, and got to Hollywood Studios by 7:45. We were first in line at the turnstiles again! Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. There was an early morning paid event, so they didn’t drop the rope early like they sometimes do, but they did let us onto Hollywood Boulevard about 8:00, and stopped us at the end of the street. We sat and chatted with the Cast…

Disney World day 2 – Magic Kingdom and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Our day at EPCOT yesterday turned out just the way we wanted! After falling into bed at 11:00 last night, we were ready for another early morning. Our bus picked us up at 7:05, and we were second in line at the turnstiles of Magic Kingdom by 7:25. It’s funny to see the Park decked out in Halloween decor in August! It gives it a festive atmosphere, even though it is hot and nowhere near fall. Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. Do you like our outfits? At the last minute I decided to make…

Disney World day 1 – EPCOT
Yesterday I was giving my mom a trip report complete with over 600 photos, and she asked me where I got my love of Disney Parks. That made me stop and think…where did I get it? I don’t remember much of my first trip when I was five, but maybe that was the foundation. Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. Anyway, my two oldest girls also got the love of Disney, and we had such a great time on our girls trip this past week! Day one of our vacation found us waking up at…

Magic Kingdom (girls only) Part one – planning
While we love taking the little ones on adventures, and we have, sometimes Mom needs some girl time! That’s why Kelley, Kimberlee, and I decided to take a girls only trip to Disneyworld this summer. Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. We dislike crowds, so we tried to choose a week that nobody fewer than a million people would be there. After perusing myriads of crowd calendars, we chose the week BEFORE Star Wars Land opened. Yes – you read that right. We are purposely missing Star Wars. Not that we don’t like Star Wars!…

Getting the most from FastPass at Disneyland and California Adventure
Remember in Disney’s The Sword in the Stone, how Wart needed a sword and didn’t have one? He was running to get one and noticed a random sword sticking out of a stone, so he just pulled it out. It ended up being his ticket to the Kingdom, and gave him more than he could ever have imagined! That, my friends, is Disney’s FastPass service in a nutshell. Utilize it, and you will have a magic ticket to Disneyland and California Adventure! Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. “Know your peeps” when planning your itinerary at Disneyland and California Adventure
I love Disneyland! My first visit was when I was 5 years old, and I have been back many times since, with lots of different sizes of groups, and all ages of people. I have to admit, some of those visits have gone smoother than others. But by now I can say that I’ve practiced Disney enough to be pretty good at it. So I hope I can help you have a great Disney vacation as well! Note: I don’t earn commission from any links in this post, but I hope they will be helpful to my readers. First off, I always look at my groups dynamics. Here are some…
